Press Pass

Pilot issue #2 is printed now, most of it anyway. The final section to print is the cover, which prints tomorrow. Once the cover section is dry and bound to the rest of the magazine it will be rushed into stores…
We spent some time out at Mccollams Print last week to press-pass key sections of the magazine. The photo above is a sheet containing 16 pages (8 each side). This is one half of a 30-page feature called Fashion vs. Architecture. The feature explores potential similarities between fashion design and architecture. It was a lot of fun to put the feature together and it looks fantastic in apricot and purple monotone colours on uncoated paper stock! My partner’s mother says that wearing orange and purple together is a sure sign of madness but in print this colour combination looks super-hot. Besides, in my experience the line between genius and insanity is ultra-thin and very contestable
