These new ads produced by DDB for Superette are causing quite a stir over at Isaac’s. I like them, strong imagery, an edgy campaign for sure, but fashion is supposed to take risks. Look for one of the ads in the upcoming PILOT issue 3….

Jesus the people commenting on Isaacs blog need to relax and stop taking themselves so seriously! How about we commend a store for branching out and be inspired to do so ourselves. Nice to see a sense of humour, beautifully shot.

This isnt ‘edgy’ . This strategy is sooooooo 2007 when Americas Next Top Model did it. Americas Next Top Model- enough said. Perhaps this brand could look to Wrangler (yet another label employing this ‘edgy’ dead girl imagery, shock horror) at least they have some remnants of creativity in their visual style. I only hope that one day ‘edgy’ can come to mean more than hot-girl-shot-in-compromising-ways .
