Afternoon at Fashion Week yesterday was all about Pamela Anderson. I was lurking about it in the MAC/GHD VIP room when one of the make-up girls helpfully whispered, ‘Don’t leave. Pam is arriving in 5 minutes. Don’t tell anyone… ssshhh…’ Sure enough, five minutes later in walked Pam in a tight pink number that barely covered her breasts or legs. Quite a sight. About half of the people in the room were eagerly switching on cameras but Pam, with US designer Richie Rich, quickly laid down a strict no photos policy. After doing a series of ever-decreasing circles around Pam, I’d seen all the flesh I cared to, and moved on to easier prey. I found this in the form of Isaac, fresh back from New York FW and as promised, wearing part of his famously new maroon suit courtesy of Crane Brothers, and paired with Isaac’s penchant for school uniforms. He looks frighteningly, endearingly, spiffy. Standing with Isaac is model Emma Champtaloup.

Afternoon and it was off to the GHD New Generation Show. The show started an hour late (most shows start anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes late which is expected), but in this case it didn’t matter as the crowd were in a fine late afternoon drinking mood, so we hit the bar and caught up with plenty of people I hadn’t seen in some time. Soon the GHD New Generation Show kicked off with some really strong new emerging labels to watch. Of particular interest were swimwear designer Emma Ford, the architecture-inspired Tara Cunniffe and Michael Pattison’s new label Trix & Dandy. Good job guys, nice. Here’s a dodgy pic I took of Michael backstage. It was crowded, not a good shot, never mind!
